Photographic Memory
The scientific name for photographic memory is an eidetic memory, and is also known as total recall. The word eidetic comes from the Greek word eidos, meaning "seen".
There is much controversy whether a true photographic memory does indeed exist. This is because the tests and the procedures of these tests are very questionable with respect to the subjects, supervisors, and qualities of the tests themselves.
However, there are several people around the world who have incredible memory skills that point in the direction of an eidetic, or photographic, memory. One of these people is Stephen Wiltshire, a British artist known for painting an entire landscape after seeing it just once.
