Creating your own Magazine company.
He left in 1990 when he helped start the monthly magazine Millennium (39).
Mikael Blomkvist and Erika Berger created Millennium Magazine together after journalism school. But what does it take to actually create your own magazine? Here are some steps to get you started on your journey.
1) Find some people to create the magazine with you. It is almost impossible to do this alone.
2) Brainstorm some ideas and concepts for your magazine. There is no point in creating your own magazine if you don't know what it will be about. Hold a brainstorming session with your co-creators and come up with a feasible idea that you all like.
Use this time to also determine target audience, content, etc. Also do some research on existing magazines and potential competitors. You have to make sure your magazine isn't a rehash of something already done.
3) If you don't have any already, find people who are good entrepreneurs/business types. They can help create a business model in the scope of your magazine.
4) Create a team of people - writers, artists, business people, managers, etc. Start out as strong as possible!

5) Now that you have a team, create your first issue! Make something you can be proud of, and make sure its something that will wow customers.
6) Along with your first issue, begin planning future issues so you can continue going strong for several issues to come. You don't want to run out of steam when you just started!
7) Build a website so people can easily find out about it. Advertise on the internet as well to get the message out!
8) Once you release your magazine, pay close attention to any feedback. This will be essential for your magazine to flourish.
9) You have now successfully (I hope) created your first magazine. Congratulations!
