Anyone else gotten to the almost the end of the article and start to think what is a kronor and why did I wait until the end of the book to figure it out? Well, I did.

So at the end of the novel when Salander asks Mikael if she can borrow 120,000 kronor, in today's terms, she is asking for about $18,342.12.
