Why wouldn't Salander go to the police?
Bjurman is taking advantage of Salander, he is raping her and giving her her own money in return.
She doesn't consider herself a normal citizen, Salander believes that if she were that she would be able to walk in the police station and nail Bjurman for rape. Even if he tried to blame it on her he would have been in violation of guardianship regulations and would be stripped of his control over her. |
To Salander the police are a force that have put her under arrest or humiliated her. these actions have made it so filing a report did not cross her mind. Even if she did file a report she believes his word carrys more weight than hers because of her past experiences.
