Children's Day is a national charity foundation that has kept alive the tradition of celebrating Children's Day in Sweden to cheer up families weighed down by hardship. Children's Day is a charity initiative that supports the wellbeing and happiness of children by showing all the great things children are capable of. Children's Day is often celebrated May 11-13, but dates vary from town to town. Smaller groups of the foundation organize events locally, such as talent shows, bouncy castles, bake sales, face paint, balloons, raffle tickets and tons of smiling children. My brother and I would go every year with our grandparents and I remember it being absolutely fabulous.
